How to live with stress and public opinion

ANGELINA JOLIE : When you have an excitable mind, like me, you need a place to calm down. I found that peace in Cambodia. When I first came to that country, I think Cambodian people were tormented by war. But not. They find serenity in the face of suffering. And I learned this from them.

My home in Cambodia is not simply a house. It is also the headquarters of my charity. Building this house is not easy. We had to clear about 50 pieces of mines before we could start building.

ANGELINA JOLIE : That’s right. I want them to be truly global citizens. Have you everywhere. I hope they will learn the feeling of constantly having to get used to something new. Next year we will start work on our new home in Africa.

ANGELINA JOLIE : A few days ago I received a call that the house in Cambodia had been overrun by squirrels. They asked if they should find a way to get rid of them. And my daughter Vivienne was serious: No, don’t send them away. However, if I remember correctly, this house also has a herd of snakes nesting in the basement. I wonder if the snakes will leave the squirrels alone. You see, this is no longer my home!

ANGELINA JOLIE : I still want to live in other countries. And I will do this when all of my children reach the age of 18. Currently, I still have to stay in the US mostly because this is the place where the father of the children lives.
