BTS’s Suga Brings ARMYs to tears with emotional ending of his “AMYGDALA” Performance On Solo Tour

BTS‘s Suga just kicked off his first solo world tour at Belmont Park in New York, and performed over 20 songs, including tracks from his two mixtapes, full album, and some of BTS’s hits.

On his tour, the artistry of BTS’s Suga and his creative moniker, Agust D, meet.

As Suga has described before, he’s used his alter ego to express raw stories and heavier emotions than he typically expresses as Suga.

The difference is that there is a lot more that I can openly express and that I can show a more raw side to myself [with Agust D]. What’s similar is that both sing of dreams and hope.

On his recently released album, D-DAY, also released under Agust D, Suga details the struggles he’s overcome in his song “AMYGDALA.”

The lyrics open up about his traumatic shoulder injury that occurred after he was hit by a car while working his delivery job as a trainee. At the time, he told his fellow members and his company that he had fallen down the stairs, not wanting to miss his opportunity to debut.

He also revealed emotional and heartbreaking moments he silently experienced, including his mother’s heart surgery and his father’s liver cancer diagnosis.

His pain played out in a raw and emotional way in the song’s music video, and many wondered how a potential stage would look should he perform the song on his SUGA | Agust D D-DAY world tour.

“AMYGDALA” did make Suga’s world tour setlist, and the introspective idol performed the song thoughtfully and emotionally, making many ARMYs tear up who attended the first show of his tour.

For his “AMYGDALA” stage, Suga stood high on a small platform, surrounded by fire.

ARMYs picked up on his stage’s hidden meanings, appreciating how he expressed his feelings artistically through the stage design.

While ARMYs were already feeling emotional, the end of Suga’s “AMYGDALA” stage nearly guaranteed tears as Suga lay down on the stage, only to be carried away by dancers as he remained motionless until he was out of sight backstage.

Suga’s beautiful performance had ARMYs feeling proud of all he’s overcome to stand on stage at a sold-out show on his first solo world tour.
