Mbappe has reportedly bought a luxury Ferrari but there’s a reason he can’t drive it

When reaching fame and fortune, soccer stars usually give themselves certain tastes and one of the most common is to buy luxury cars.

Kylian Mbappe has not been left behind and recently acquired a Ferrari.

The Frenchman could have bought a Ferrari 488 Pista, with a 720 hp V8, or a Ferrari SF90 Stradale that boasts 1,000 hp, according to information from GQ magazine and Actu Automobile.

How much does Mbappe’s Ferrari cost?

GQ magazine notes that the PSG striker has opted for a Ferrari 488 Pista, with a 720 hp V8, which costs around 500,000 euros.

Why will Mbappe not be able to drive his luxury car?

Despite having several luxury cars, Mbappe does not have a driver’s license, so he will not drive his vehicle from Il Cavallino Rampante.

“It’s one of the downsides of being successful early, I missed simple things like having a driver’s license,” he once explained in an interview.

“I think everyone has one. For many people a license is an obligation, but it wasn’t for me.

“Although it is synonymous with autonomy, I had my autonomy early on because I had drivers at my disposal. It has never been a priority.”

And despite the fact that he is now 24 years old, Mbappe continues not to drive, even though PSG offered to pay for him to take lessons at a driving school, but he does not consider it necessary.

Since he arrived in Paris, the striker has had a butler, a cook and a driver to take him everywhere.

Mbappe’s luxury cars

According to the website cuatro.com, the PSG striker also has a Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe, an Audi A6, a Mercedes-Benz V-Class and a Range Rover.

In several photos that Kylian has uploaded on Instagram, he is seen getting out of Volkswagen models, such as the ID.5, the ID.4 or the Tiguan, among others.

However, the German brand is a sponsor of the France national team, so the vehicles are loaned for the star to go to training camps.

For now, PSG does not count any car brand among its sponsors, but does have Autohero, the portal for the sale of used cars.

This sponsor replaced Renault in 2021, a brand that did not lend cars to players but did lend them to the coaching staff and management.
