Patrick Mahomes has been at the receiving end of trolling by fans after posing for a picture which allowed social media users to notice that he is currently out of shape.

An injured Mahomes managed to lead the Kansas City Chiefs all the way to NFL glory a couple of months ago, as his team celebrated their second league title in three years.

“Looks like Patrick Mahomes, Trey Lance and UCLA QB Dante Moore have been getting some work in together in Los Angeles,” NFL reporter wrote on Twitter, where he shared a screenshot of Moore’s post on Instagram.

Fans were quick to react, with one noticing that “Mahomes is a few cheeseburgers away from bieng fat… it’s a evil world we live in.”

Fat and bald

Another fan replied: “Trey lance is bald and Patrick Mahomes is fat.”

Meanwhile, a third wondered whether “Is it me or is Mahomes look like he’s fat and out of shape”.

After inspiring his team to Super Bowl success, Mahomes explained why this title was different from the one that his team won back in 2019.

“I thought the first Super Bowl was kind of like ‘Oh, this is amazing. We won the Super Bowl!,'” Mahomes said.

“You’re just like a little kid winning a prize at the fair. Whereas this one, you’ve dealt with failure. You understand how hard it is to get back on this stage and win this game.

“I’ve played a Super Bowl where I got blown out. I got all hyped up, then you go out there and you don’t do anything. Then I lose the AFC Championship Game in overtime when I thought we had a chance to win the Super Bowl that year.

“To have a full, brand-new team and have to go through the strain of being better and better every single day, it gives you a greater appreciation of winning this game.”
