Chelsea send ‘wrong documents for Hakim Ziyech deal three times’ leaving PSG furious

PSG were anticipating the loan arrival of Hakim Ziyech on Transfer Deadline Day – but Chelsea messed up the paperwork not once, not twice, but three times, according to reports

Hakim Ziyech is set to see out the season with Chelsea after his PSG loan move collapsed

Hakim Ziyech’s loan move to PSG reportedly fell through because Chelsea sent them the wrong documents three times.

Ziyech had flown to Paris on Transfer Deadline Day to complete a switch to the Ligue 1 leaders until the end of the season, having found game time hard to come by under Graham Potter. However, the deal never got completed.

And according to journalist Bruno Salomon, that’s because the Blues messed up the paperwork on three separate occasions. It’s claimed Stamford Bridge chiefs were preoccupied with the arrival of Enzo Fernandez for a British record transfer fee of £107million.

PSG are now expected to launch an appeal to the French governing body, the LFP, this morning (February 1) to try and get the transfer completed after the deadline.

But as things stand they won’t be getting their man and Ziyech will be returning to see out the campaign in England. A source close to the club described the situation as a “Class A circus” to The Athletic.

Ziyech impressed for Morocco at the World Cup – but he’s lacked minutes at Stamford Bridge

Ziyech had been a man in demand with AC Milan, Roma and RB Leipzig among many interested parties. He’d chosen PSG as his No. 1 destination, though.

The Moroccan winger, who started all seven of their World Cup games as they became the first African nation to reach the semi-finals of the competition, has made just 15 appearances at club level this season and is yet to find the back of the net.

His minutes aren’t likely to improve either with Chelsea having added to their attacking ranks this month, most notably with the arrival of Mykhaylo Mudryk in a deal worth up to £88m.
