‘I have won more’: John Terry aims brutal dig at Arsenal after Chelsea are mocked

John Terry has aimed a brutal dig at Arsenal on Twitter by claiming that they have ‘gone missing’ for the last 20 years following Piers Morgan’s comments about Chelsea’s spending under Todd Boehly and their current league position.

The Chelsea legend stated that ‘I have won more trophies since I retired playing Golf than Arsenal have’, as he also warned that there is still ‘a long way to go’ in their Premier League title race with Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta’s side, who signed Jorginho from Chelsea on deadline day, are sitting top of the tree in English football.

Across London, even though Chelsea owner Todd Boehly spent a crazy amount in the summer, it only resulted in Thomas Tuchel getting the sack and Graham Potter coming in, only to struggle himself.

Fast forward to the present, the West London club have splashed even more money during the January transfer window, as well as a British record fee for Enzo Fernandez.

Chelsea are sitting tenth in the Premier League table, despite all of that, a staggering 21 points behind their neighbours and Premier League leaders, who have played a game less, with Terry posting the following message and response to Piers Morgan.

Kai Havertz has taken to Instagram to wish Jorginho luck as his move from Chelsea to Arsenal was made official yesterday.

The Italy international emerged from nowhere to become the league leaders’ number one target to strengthen their depth in midfield.

They turned their attentions quickly after it became apparent that they were not going to be able to land their ideal signing of Moises Caicedo.

The Ecuadorian was also subject of an early bid from Chelsea, however his club continued to play hardball at the negotiations table.

Chelsea will absolutely be happy with the midfielder they managed to sign though. They completed a deal to sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica in the final moments of a frantic deadline day.

Jorginho leaving the club came as a bit of a shock based on the speed and the importance he had in the first team.

Even if there was only a few months left on his contract, there had been no real links for him to move away from Stamford Bridge this month.

It was obviously a surprise to his teammates too. Marc Cucurella reacted in shock when he was informed in an interview that the move was about to be done.

Now, Havertz has commented on the midfielder’s first post as a midfielder, saying: “All the best bro.”

Arsenal Unveil New Signing

Jorginho was close to not being the only midfielder through the door on deadline day. Conor Gallagher had been the subject of plenty of interest from the Premier League and beyond.

However, the only bid that actually came in was from Everton, with the player not keen on a move to Goodison Park.

Now though, the future of the position looks in good hands with the club-record signing of Fernandez, with him joining on an eight-and-a-half-year contract in a similar style the majority of new signings last month.
