Four of Cristiano Ronaldo’s former Manchester United teammates have been invited to come and visit him to bid him a proper farewell.

The now ex-Red Devils centre-forward had his contract mutually terminated during the club’s break for the 2022 World Cup, meaning he missed out on the chance to say goodbye to those at Old Trafford.

Now, though, he’s looking to organise a proper leaving do with some of those he played with in his second stint at Man United.

That’s according to The Sun, who have been told Ronaldo has invited some of his Manchester United pals on holiday.

It’s understood he’s offered them the choice of visiting in his homeland of Portugal, or seeing him in Saudi Arabia where’s now playing.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is currently having a new luxury home built on the outskirts of Lisbon, and has offered his former teammates the opportunity to visit him there.

He’s also asked if they would be interested in watching him play at Al-Nassr – the club he joined in January on a £177-million-per-year deal following his explosive TalkTV interview and Man United exit.

As per The Sun, a Man United insider said: “There are still a few lads here who have nothing but respect for Ronny and were sad how it all ended, because they never got to say a proper goodbye.

“He recently left the player WhatsApp groups but promised to keep in touch with a few and has invited them to his new place in Lisbon and to Saudi to watch him play.

“Harry Maguire, Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro and Raphael Varane are all mates.

“His place in Lisbon sounds incredible — and he can certainly now afford it!”

Since signing for Al-Nassr, Ronaldo is yet to score for his new side in a competitive match, but he did score in the Saudi All-Star XI v Paris Saint-Germain game, which saw him have one last dance with rival Lionel Messi.

Meanwhile, Man United have been flying, with them set to reach the final of the Carabao Cup, beating Reading to get to FA Cup fifth round and currently sitting fourth in the Premier League.
