According to Dr. Ian Pearson, a person will eventually be able to transfer their minds into computers and attend funerals where their former biological bodies would be interred.

Cyborgization does provide some benefits. Let’s consider the possibility of replacing each of our limbs with a superior one. Modern advanced prostheses provide a sensation of touch, allowing us to feel things like temperature, pressure, and the material an object is made of.

We could acquire new legs, effectively resolving the issue of handicap. Additionally, we may put implants in our brains that would enhance our IQ, memory, or make it simpler to pick up new abilities.

Dr. Ian Pearson, a futurist, highlights prospects on his blog that are both exciting and dangerous.

He believes that future technology advancements will make it possible for humans to replicate our minds and upload them to the cloud in order to achieve immortality. A person will soon be able to “settle” in any cyborg’s body and live forever in digital form.

In this role, according to Dr. Ian Pearson, we will be treated as a live, albeit virtual, person rather than just another routine computer program.

The first people will be able to do this, according to the futurologist, by 2050 at the latest, although cyborgization will, of course, only be available to the wealthiest at first.

Digital immortality will become somewhat more accessible in the coming years as the prices of cyborgs fall, but today it can be assumed that the almost unlimited possibilities that arise as a result of transferring your mind into the body of a machine will rather be available only to a small group of people in the world.
